Decision News Media is looking for two enthusiastic trainee journalists to work on its award-winning websites FoodNavigator.com and NutraIngredients.com.
Both websites deliver top-quality, breaking news and business insight directly to the desk-tops of more than 100,000 key decision-makers working in the global food and nutrition industries. Based in Montpellier in the South of France, our energetic and talented editorial team supplies written, video and, soon, audio content to our market-leading websites.
If you are a talented, new journalist, or have an ambition to become one, and share our passion for uncovering the latest developments in the fast-moving and often controversial worlds of food, beverages and nutrition, we would like to hear from you.
You will need strong journalistic skills, or the ability to acquire them quickly, analytical focus and a hunger to become a top-performing multi-media journalist adept at reporting online and via videos and audio podcasts. Our journalists produce sharp, tightly written, independent news articles to exacting deadlines – so you must work well under pressure and relish challenges.
A formal qualification in journalism is less important than a genuine desire to report on food and nutrition topics for an international audience.
We would also welcome applications from candidates from a technical or engineering background.

POSITION

You will be selling our online advertising and marketing solutions to large European and US-based companies in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and cosmetics industries and be actively involved in building our brand internationally.
You will progressively take over direct responsibility for a news Web site and its associated newsletters.
This position is very demanding and involves negotiating at senior level with market leading organizations.
APPLICANT
You should have at least 2 /3 years experience in international business-to-business advertising sales with an exceptional track record.
You are talented, outgoing, result-driven and have excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate must show that he / she shares the commitment to excellence that drives our company. We expect professionalism, determination, creativity, independence of thought, and the willingness to make the difference whatever it takes.
